Welcome to the photography gallery of Downeast Maine naturalist artist Brent L. Ander - Featuring photography of the landscape and nature of our world; from Acadia National Park along the Downeast Maine coast, to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. My photography primarily focuses on the visual impact of nature, though there are a few human artifacts featured for their esthetic value, such as lighthouses and vintage cars. As an artist, I often look for the abstract form both in nature and in man-made artifacts.

Personally, I view photography as an art form to be explored. Even after nearly fifty years of picture taking, I'm still learning new tricks and probably will until I get too old to hold a camera (I hope). Since the advent of digital photography, the potential for greater diversity utilizing powerful new tools has opened many creative possibilities.

Come join my Capture the Night photography workshops at the Schoodic Institute in Acadia National Park to experience some of the darkest skies on the East Coast and learn to photograph the stars in a variety of different ways.
